Adjunct Faculty - Nursing Clinical Instruction

Job Summary
Supervise students in clinical practice, internships, observations, field experiences, nursing labs, and other graduation requirements. Counsel or refer students with identified clinical performance problems and debrief their evaluations. Teach the number of hours and courses stated in the employment contract while creating course materials to ensure student engagement. Articulate learning outcomes and assist students through office hours, one-to-one meetings, or small group sessions to master course content. Meet all scheduled responsibilities, including office hours and meetings, at designated times. Maintain the highest moral and ethical standards as an educator and nursing professional.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Pediatrics or Medical/Surgical
- Two (2) years of experience in the clinical specialty area
- Current knowledge in the area of clinical practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
- Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
- Demonstrated clinical competency and professional standards of practice
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines
- Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents
- Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision
- Ability to learn from students' participation, demonstrates fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and shows compassion without being ineffectual
- Ability to perform with legal and ethical boundaries
- Unencumbered RN nursing License
Desired Qualifications
- a master's degree in nursing preferred
- Membership in a professional association related to area of instruction preferred
