Job Summary
Deliver assigned medical terminology classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives while developing and maintaining lesson plans, assignments, and tests. Engage students through active teaching strategies and meaningful interactions to support their learning goals and retention. Monitor student performance throughout the semester, document progress, and provide interventions such as tutoring and referrals to academic resources. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and compliance with FERPA and campus guidelines. Conduct all activities within the parameters of the Healthcare Specialist program standard for HLHS 101.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Has a minimum of 2 years directly related work experience
- Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients
- Holds a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education in any Health Science or Dental Careers with relevant medical Terminology coursework
- Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction
