Job Summary
Teach majors and non-majors math courses using lectures, demonstrations, and class discussions. Prepare course outlines, syllabi, and lesson plans while selecting textbooks and teaching aids. Integrate technology into delivery and communicate effectively with diverse student populations. Submit applications to the adjunct pool, noting that acceptance is based on enrollment needs and departmental discretion rather than automatic approval. Master's or Ph.D. in Math required; prior teaching experience preferred. Located in Takoma Park, Maryland, with a salary of $2100 per 3 credit course.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Math or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Ability to integrate technology into course delivery
- Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of students both in and outside the classroom
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
