Job Summary
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes through learning-centered instruction that aligns with South University's curriculum model. Design and deliver instructional plans for courses such as Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Cyberlaw, utilizing technology to support student engagement. Manage the educational environment by maintaining accurate records, submitting grades on time, and enforcing academic policies while relating professional experience to student learning. Participate in faculty development, curriculum task forces, and campus events to promote program stature and a culture of diversity and ethics. Communicate consistently with supervisors and administrators to support student success and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- JD/Juris Doctor
- Experience in instruction or formalized education process
- Active, valid, and unencumbered state licensure or certification as applicable to the discipline
- Ability to hold required office hours
- Ability to respond to student questions and administration within the required response time
- Willingness to work in an accelerated learning format
- Willingness to attend meetings as required by the respective department
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution
- At least six months of teaching experience at South University or another post-secondary education institution
- Online experience
- Membership in a professional association tied to the area of instruction
- Credentialed to teach the following courses: Estate Planning and Probate, Real Estate, Computers in the Legal Office, Workers' Compensation, Bankruptcy, International Law, Immigration Law, Cyberlaw
