Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty teaches up to two courses per semester in the B.S. Kinesiology & Sports Studies program within the Department of Health and Human Performance. Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online and may occur during the day or evening. Responsibilities include developing and managing the class syllabus, planning lectures, in-class discussions, assignments, assessing grades, mentoring students, and performing other duties as assigned. The role notes that immigration sponsorship may require independent counsel and that an H-1B petition-related fee is not paid by the university; hiring is subject to credential verification.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field or a terminal degree in the field or closely related field required to teach graduate courses; for undergraduate teaching a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
- Online or hybrid teaching experience (preferred)
- College or University teaching experience (preferred)
- Evidence of teaching excellence (preferred)
- Prior relevant industry experience (preferred)
- Current relevant professional credentials (preferred)
- Criminal history check required; employment contingent upon verification of credentials
