Job Summary
Under the Dean of General Education, deliver in-person, online, and lab-based instruction using lectures, demonstrations, and audiovisual aids. Maintain engagement within the classroom, establish clear learning objectives, and manage student behavior while evaluating performance through tests, projects, and oral assessments. Track attendance, grade assignments, and identify at-risk students for referral to the Student Success Coordinator. Provide individual tutoring and academic counseling as needed. Participate in annual professional development activities and academic committees.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' degree or higher from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area
- Master's degree in the discipline OR a Master's degree (any discipline) with 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework relevant to the discipline
- Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree
- Three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator
