Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty who will teach PHL 1200 Critical Thinking in an Illogical World in-person at Cleary University’s Howell, MI Livingston campus. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate in-person classes with active, hands-on engagement; utilizing Canvas LMS to deliver instruction and manage attendance, grades, and assignments; employing interactive pedagogical techniques; implementing engaging teaching methodologies to foster critical thinking, logic, and ethical and entrepreneurial mindsets; assessing student learning; maintaining regular office hours; collaborating with faculty and staff; and supporting diverse, global, and multi-cultural student experiences. Requirements include a regionally accredited master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credits in the discipline and a minimum of five years of professional experience, plus proficiency with Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft Office, and a commitment to using The Cleary MindTM to prepare students for the workforce.
Required Qualifications
- An earned master’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university in the course discipline or closely related discipline, with at least 18 graduate semester credits in relevant coursework.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in the discipline/industry of this course with preference given to those with prior undergraduate teaching experience.
- Ability to learn and use Canvas, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and other software for communicating with students and faculty.
- Ability to embrace The Cleary MindTM as the University’s approach to building professional skills for the workforce.
- Ability to apply professional experiences to inspire students about real-world projects and challenges.
