Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty (In Person) – MIS 1000: Applied Business Tools at Cleary University. Teach undergraduate in-person MIS 1000 coursework using Canvas to deliver instruction, engage students with hands-on activities in the classroom, and assess student learning aligned with institutional outcomes. Requires a master’s degree (regionally accredited) with at least 18 graduate credits, and at least five years of relevant professional experience. Responsibilities include holding regular office hours, collaborating with colleagues, engaging diverse student populations, employing interactive teaching methodologies, and leveraging digital tools and professional practices to develop students’ employability skills. Office located at the Livingston (Howell, MI) campus; in-person instruction and campus engagement are central to the role.
Required Qualifications
- An earned master’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university in the course discipline or closely related discipline, with at least 18 graduate semester credits in relevant coursework.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in the discipline/industry of this course, with preference given to candidates with prior undergraduate teaching experience in addition to professional experience.
- Ability to learn and use the Canvas learning management system, Zoom video conferencing, Microsoft Office applications, and other software programs for communicating with students, faculty leadership, and faculty peers.
- Ability to embrace The Cleary MindTM as the University’s approach to building each student’s professional skills required by the workforce and job market.
- Ability to apply professional experiences to inform and inspire students about real-world projects, situations, and challenges.
