Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty for HVAC will create a student-focused learning environment and provide effective instruction and assessment. Responsibilities include delivering classes per college policies, developing lesson plans and course materials, engaging with students through active teaching strategies, maintaining accurate student records, and implementing safety procedures. Candidates must possess teaching qualifications related to HVAC and have knowledge of current instructional technologies. Ideally, candidates should have prior teaching experience, while all activities must respect diversity and inclusion standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction
- Meets the full time faculty discipline standard
- Possesses a Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman’s card in the discipline
- Possesses any specialized certifications or credentials required for the class being taught
- 5 years directly related work experience in the field
- Possesses a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience is desirable.
