Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty member in Health Sciences who will provide high-quality instruction across undergraduate and/or certificate-based courses within Health Sciences, including HSCS, HPWE, and EMSL areas. Responsibilities include providing instruction in assigned Health Sciences courses in classroom, laboratory, simulation, hybrid, and online environments; maintaining course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments; utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies to promote student engagement and success; evaluating student performance and providing timely feedback; maintaining attendance and grade documentation in the LMS; integrating simulation and active learning methodologies; promoting professional behavior and patient-centered care; participating in orientation, faculty meetings, curriculum discussions, and program activities; complying with institutional policies and accreditation standards; collaborating with administrators, faculty, staff, and clinical/community partners; maintaining currency in area(s) of expertise; supporting laboratory preparation, skills validation, and remediation; fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related field (Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, EMS, Allied Health, Psychology, or Education)
- Bachelor’s degree with specialized clinical expertise may be considered based on course assignment
- Certifications/Credentialing in specific field for designated courses where appliable
- Current professional licensure, certification, or credentialing as appropriate to discipline
- For clinical based courses, minimum of 2–3 years of clinical, healthcare, or related professional experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary academic environment
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in education and/or healthcare environment, or workforce development programs
- Certifications such as BLS Instructor, ACLS, PALS, EMT/Paramedic, CNA Instructor, or other related certifications
