Adjunct Faculty, Graduate Nursing - MSN

Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment. Provide education through learning-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning, diversity, and ethics as well as personal and professional development. Incumbent must assure that the South University philosophy is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and maintenance of an environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion. This is a campus based position. Delivers competency-based education aligning with the university model, designs instructional plans to meet course competencies, enables achievement of exit competencies, maintains accurate records, supports curriculum tasks, and fosters student success. Focus on instructional delivery, classroom environment conducive to learning, and engagement of students. Requires DNP or PhD in Nursing with FNP certification and 1-5 years of instructional experience; FNP experience strongly preferred; strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills; proficiency with computer-based tools.
