Job Summary
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes through competency-based education aligned with the South University model. Design and deliver class instruction by developing instructional plans, creating activities to support lesson objectives, and establishing student performance criteria for evaluation. Manage the learning environment by maintaining accurate records, submitting grades and reports on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies. Contribute to the academic program by participating in curriculum task forces, supporting campus events like orientation and graduation, and relating professional industry experience to student learning. This campus-based position requires a DNP or PhD in Nursing with FNP certification and one to five years of instruction experience.
Required Qualifications
- DNP or PhD in Nursing
- FNP certification
- One to five years' experience in the instruction or formalized education process
- Experience as a FNP
- Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build successful relationships with student populations
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
- Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
