Job Summary
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes through competency-based education aligned with South University's curriculum model. Design and deliver class instruction by creating activities that support lesson objectives and establish student performance criteria for evaluation. Manage the learning environment by maintaining accurate records, submitting grades on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies. Relate professional and industry experience to student learning while introducing current trends and opportunities. Participate in curriculum task forces, campus events such as orientation and graduation, and workshops to promote program stature. Requires a DNP or PhD in Nursing, one to five years of instruction experience, and an unencumbered nursing license with FNP certification. This is a campus-based position.
Required Qualifications
- DNP or PhD in Nursing
- One to five years' experience in the instruction or formalized education process
- Experience as a FNP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
- Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
- Must have a valid unencumbered nursing liscense
- FNP certification required
- This is a campus based position Not Remote
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred
