Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty for General Psychology teaching a general education psychology course in Fall 2026. Responsibilities include teaching per curriculum and outcomes, timely assessment and evaluation of student work (exams, quizzes, papers, homework, discussions), monitoring and advising students, holding regular office hours, participating in adjunct psychology faculty meetings and related departmental activities, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires delivering course content on topics such as learning and memory, motivation and emotion, human development, theories of personality, psychopathology, and social behavior; demonstrated ability to teach at the college level and to work with adult learners. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate in psychology or related discipline and experience applying psychological principles in professional contexts, plus additional teaching experience at the college/university level and ability to work with diverse learners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include an M.S. or M.A. degree (or equivalent) in psychology or closely related field, or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in psychology.
- Psychology-based professional experience in business management, human resources or human services, or work experience in one of the sub-disciplines of psychology (organizational, biological, clinical, etc).
- Previous college-level teaching experience in psychology, or psychology-related courses.
- Knowledge of higher education regulations, compliance and accrediting agencies
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with faculty, staff, students and the professional community
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
