Job Summary
The Institute for Sustainable Practice seeks an adjunct faculty member for the Spring 2026 course on Green Building Design, Construction, and Operation. Responsibilities include creating and customizing course content, instructing students through various teaching formats, and mentoring graduate students. Successful candidates will have substantial experience in green and sustainable building practices and hold relevant advanced degrees. The role requires proficiency in using learning management systems and technology to enhance the educational experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ten or more years of professional experience in green and sustainable building and site design, construction, and/or maintenance
- Master of science, master of architecture, masters of landscape architecture, master of business administration, OR a PhD in engineering, architecture, or J.D relevant to green building and sustainable sites
- Additional green and sustainable building certification (e.g., LEED GA/AP, Sustainable Sites, Certified Energy Manager)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching, presenting, managing, and/or training practitioners or graduate students
- Experience teaching online
- Conducting relevant sustainability research
- Field work or consulting experience
- Organizational or business management experience related to green buildings and sites
