Job Summary

Teach Composition Lab, Composition, Research and Literature, and Technical Writing courses using lectures, demonstrations, and class discussions. Prepare daily schedules, develop lesson plans, and meet with each student for at least one conference. Track attendance, post syllabi and documents in D2L Brightspace, and submit midterm and final grades via Self Service. Attend up to three composition program meetings and an assigned class play. Submit applications as needs arise for the incoming freshman class and Fall/Spring semesters.

Required Qualifications

  • Terminal degree, preferred, but a minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited university
  • Successful teaching record
  • Strong emphasis on research writing in English or related field
  • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of students both in and outside the classroom
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the university's philosophy and mission and commitment to it
  • Experience using AI ethically in the English curriculum
