Job Summary
Part-time Adjunct Faculty – English instructor for ENG 163; teach English Composition and related general education courses, develop syllabi and lesson plans, assess student writing and performance, and provide feedback. Requires strong knowledge of English composition, grammar, and rhetoric; proficiency with LMS tools (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle); ability to teach online formats and engage diverse student populations. Evening schedule (Mon-Thur 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) at West Covina, CA; responsibilities include maintaining records, participating in meetings, and upholding academic integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Composition, Rhetoric, Literature, Communications, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution; OR Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in English or a closely related field.
- Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level preferred.
