Job Summary

Prepare and teach Education Instruction coursework to a multicultural student population using engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate instructional strategies. Evaluate student progress, provide clear feedback, and offer mentoring while maintaining regular office hours. Develop course content and manage administrative duties via an online learning management system such as Blackboard. Remain current in the field through professional development activities and comply with college policies and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or Educational Administration
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in these disciplines
  • Master's degree in Special Education, Cross-Cultural Education
  • Master's degree in Education or Educational Administration with a minimum of 9 graduate hours in diversity issues, language learning, multiculturalism, special populations, and/or special education
  • Educational requirements in accordance with SACSCOC accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, online resources, and other technologies for the classroom
  • Demonstrated proficiency using an online learning management system such as Blackboard to develop and build course content and perform administrative duties (posting office hours, syllabi, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
