Job Summary
Wingate University seeks a part-time adjunct faculty member for the developing Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program for physician assistants. Responsibilities include course coordination, content development, and management of research and Capstone-based courses over three semesters. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree and have a minimum of three years of graduate-level teaching experience. Proficiency in learning management software and strong communication skills are necessary. This position fosters student engagement in an asynchronous learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree required (e.g. DMSc, PhD, DHSc, MD, DO, EdD)
- Graduated from an accredited PA program
- Able to use learning management software (Canvas)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Able to effectively engage with students in an online, asynchronous environment
Desired Qualifications
- Record of success in teaching
- Prior online teaching experience preferred
