Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty DMS at Florida National University responsible for developing course outlines, creating and delivering lectures and demonstrations in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, assessing student progress, and ensuring compliance with FERPA, Title IX, GDPR, FNU policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include university engagement (orientation, commencements, committees), managing communications, completing special projects, updating course materials, and collaborating with program leadership to align goals with the Allied Health Division. Requires an associate degree (bachelor’s/master’s preferred), at least two years of clinical experience, ARDMS certification or equivalent, and strong curriculum development, instructional, and public speaking skills.
Required Qualifications
- An associate degree is required.
- Bachelor’s and master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of documented clinical experience in professional discipline.
- Unrestricted American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification and registration or the equivalent (an unrestricted state license for the state in which the program is located).
- Collaborative work style; strong communication / interpersonal / organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and basic database applications.
- Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills.
