Job Summary
Teach courses in alignment with the university's mission, utilizing Canvas for course management and implementing strategies that promote student engagement. Provide timely feedback on student work, maintain accurate records of attendance and grades, and communicate effectively with students, employees, and the public. Serve as a Christian role model both inside and outside the classroom, integrating faith and learning into instruction while demonstrating cross-cultural respect and humility. This part-time position is located in Newberg, OR, with teaching occurring in-person, online, or hybrid formats as needed. Compensation is paid on a per credit hour basis commensurate with education and experience. Applicants must reside in Oregon or Washington and hold legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Review of applications begins on a rolling basis and continues until the position is filled.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree, or significant professional experience, in the relevant field
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Residence in the state of Oregon or Washington
- A commitment to the University's Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church
- Agreement to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement
- Affirmation of the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith
Desired Qualifications
- A doctoral degree (for certain disciplines)
- Professional experience in the field related to the subject being taught
- Previous teaching experience in higher education
- Familiarity with online and hybrid teaching modalities
- Engagement in scholarship, research, or professional development
