Job Summary
Selected candidates will be hired as adjunct faculty responsible for developing and teaching departmental courses. Faculty will collaborate with colleagues to meet desired course outcomes and ensure rigorous content delivery. Responsibilities include providing holistic advising and support to students, meeting in accordance with a teaching weekend schedule, and engaging in regular communication about student experiences. Ideal candidates should possess a doctorate in a relevant field and demonstrate a commitment to social justice in educational settings.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to social justice advocacy
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in leadership across educational and/or community contexts
- Enacted commitment to advancing social justice as a leader and educator
- Command of theories centered in social justice at a conceptual and applicable level
- Hold a doctorate in education, social/critical theory, sociology, or related field
- Currently hold or have held teaching positions at the graduate level

- Part-time faculty must abide by the USF Part-Time Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement
