Job Summary
Teach select MS in Counseling Psychology program courses during 10-week accelerated semesters, delivering student-focused, active-learning instruction. Conduct assessments of student program and course learning outcomes while actively participating in course development, assessment, and student-related activities such as regular office hours. Engage in Adjunct meetings and MS in Counseling Psychology Advisory Board meetings to support program evaluation. This part-time, non-exempt role requires proficiency in learning management systems like Canvas and experience working with culturally diverse students. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to work occasional nights and weekends, varying schedules, and adhere to the University's Catholic, Marianist, and liberal arts traditions while serving the civic and church communities of the Pacific region.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Advanced training or relevant professional experience applicable to the course(s) being taught
- Experience conducting cognitive, behavioral, and/or personality tests in an educational or clinical setting
- clinical experience conducting counseling in an educational or community-based setting
- Proficient in the use of technology to support both in-class and online learning environments
- Experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body at all levels of the university
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, learning management systems (e.g. Canvas), and other programs related to teaching, learning, advising, and assessment
- Must have the ability to create and facilitate a meaningful learning environment

Desired Qualifications
- 1-year teaching experience at the university level
- Professional experience in a Hawaii Department of Education public school
