Job Summary
Community Education is seeking innovative instructors to develop curriculum and teach classes for gifted middle school students. Responsibilities include developing and teaching assigned subjects, fulfilling administrative requirements, staying current with compliance training, and adhering to College policies. Required skills include experience teaching gifted students and differentiating instruction. The position necessitates strong curriculum design abilities and effective communication skills. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching middle school students, including cluster grouping, pull-out, and/or full-time gifted class structures
- Ability to differentiate instruction for advanced-level students
- Strong instructional and curriculum design skills
- Clear background check and substantiated subject-matter expertise
- Documented record of successfully supporting learners
- Competency in technologies used in instruction at CLC
- Ability to work with diverse cultures, genders, and backgrounds
Desired Qualifications
- Gifted Endorsement
- Degree in Gifted Education or equivalent Specialized Training Coursework
- Proven competency in serving gifted and talented students' social and emotional needs
