Job Summary
Under the Dean of General Education, deliver classroom, online, and lab instruction using lectures, demonstrations, and audiovisual aids while evaluating student achievements. Maintain engagement through established curricula, set clear objectives, and manage behavior to foster a positive learning climate. Assess progress via oral, written, or performance tests and identify at-risk students for referral to the Student Success Coordinator. Provide individual tutoring and mentoring, grade assessments, track attendance, and fulfill administrative duties. Complete required professional development activities and participate in academic committees.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' degree or higher from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area
- Master's degree in the discipline OR a Master's degree (any discipline) with 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework relevant to the discipline
- Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree
- Three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator
