Adjunct Faculty - College Mathematics

Job Summary
Conduct classroom, online, and lab instruction in college mathematics using lectures, demonstrations, and audiovisual aids to evaluate student achievement. Maintain a positive educational climate by establishing clear learning objectives, managing student behavior, and identifying at-risk students for referral to the Student Success Coordinator. Provide individual advisement and academic counseling through tutoring and mentoring, while grading assessments, tracking attendance, and administering performance tests to measure progress. Participate in academic committees, ongoing conferences, and required professional development activities including two in-person and one distance education session annually.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' degree or higher from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area
- Master's degree in the discipline OR a Master's degree (any discipline) with 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework relevant to the discipline
- Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator
