Job Summary

Teach foundational clinical knowledge, skills, reasoning, and attitudes to students across the Montana campus in classrooms, clinics, laboratories, and simulation centers. Provide education, mentorship, and guidance while participating in curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and enhancement. Deliver courses in clinical skills, osteopathic manipulative medicine, ultrasound, and medical simulation. Assist in building a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Participate in required faculty training activities. This part-time role offers $100 per hour with a customizable schedule and access to university library holdings. Applicants must hold a terminal medical degree (DO or MD) and demonstrate clinical proficiency in their specialization.

Required Qualifications

  • Terminal medical degree (DO or MD) from an accredited institution
  • Good standing with all relevant regulatory and governmental boards and agencies
  • Eligible for coverage by the University's malpractice insurer if applicable
  • Commitment to a high standard of integrity and professionalism

  • Knowledge and skill in the delivery of medical education
  • Competence in the use of digital technology used in the delivery of medical education at MCOM
  • Clinical proficiency in area of specialization
  • Ability to orally communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels
  • Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Current board certification or board eligibility in area of specialization
  • Proficiency in osteopathic manipulation or clinical ultrasound
  • Teaching experience at a college of osteopathic medicine or graduate medical education program
  • Familiarity with the clinical application of osteopathic principles and/or manipulative treatment
