Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty assigned to fully online competency-based education (CBE) courses will teach three semester credit hours per 7-week term, respond to student inquiries within 24 hours, and provide timely feedback on assignments. They will facilitate courses according to the provided syllabus, monitor undergraduate orientation courses, develop and maintain teaching materials, prepare and evaluate course assignments and examinations, and provide weekly status reports to advisors. The role emphasizes collaboration, instructional design, and delivering high-quality online instruction in a higher-education setting, with emphasis on CBE program delivery and diverse student populations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Terminal degree in instructional design or closely related field with 18 hours in field/subject area OR Master’s degree in instructional design with terminal degree in closely related field
- Experience: NA
- Knowledge / Skills: Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability: Multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Work with minimal supervision.
- Licensing/Professional Certifications: NA
- Other Requirements: Position will require work after business hours and on weekends.
