Job Summary
The Adjunct Faculty member in CDMI is responsible for instruction in oral health and basic science courses, engaging in both didactic and clinical teaching methodologies. Key responsibilities include developing coursework, participating in student assessments, managing clinical situations according to established protocols, and ensuring evidence-based patient care. Candidates must possess a DDS/DMD or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois with a minimum of three years of dental practice or a year of advanced training. Skills required include strong clinical competencies, effective communication, cultural competence, and the ability to work with students in a professional manner.
Required Qualifications
- DDS/DMD degree or equivalent
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of three (3) years practice in dentistry or one year of advanced post graduate training in dentistry
- Commitment to at least one full day per week teaching at CDMI
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing educational and simulation technology
- Previous experience in dental education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
