Job Summary
Facilitate Case-Based Collaborative Learning sessions for M1 and M2 students by reviewing pertinent case materials and guiding small group discussions that promote self-directed learning and intellectual inquiry. Empower students to work through cases independently while ensuring equal participation and intervening when groups rush to conclusions or become off track. Provide brief written assessments for each student following every session. This role supports the SOM Wichita Academic and Student Affairs CBCL program, which fosters active learning and critical thinking within a dedicated team of 7-8 students per group throughout the academic year.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO, EdD, PsyD, D. Sc, Sc.D, or PhD degree
- Experience teaching
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in or teaching in a biomedical-related field such as microbiology, anatomy, biochemistry, chemistry, genetics, or immunology
- Experience facilitating small group teaching sessions
