Job Summary
Adjunct Biology Faculty responsible for delivering classes per college policy and course objectives, using technology to enhance instruction, adapting lesson plans and materials, and maintaining accurate student records. Emphasizes engaging students online and in-person, promoting inclusive environments, FERPA compliance, Title IX awareness, and professional interactions with students and colleagues. Requires a master’s degree or higher in biology-related fields (or a master’s with 18 graduate hours in relevant biology subjects) and official transcripts upon hire. Part-time teaching at the Sellersburg campus with focus on student learning, assessment, and meeting program objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or microbiology; OR Master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, and/or microbiology; unofficial transcripts required for full consideration; official transcripts upon hire; adherence to FERPA and Title IX; experience promoting inclusive environments; ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies for online students; ability to deliver classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives; demonstration of engaging instructional methods and assessment; maintain accurate student records and grades; use of technology to enhance instruction; ability to adapt lesson plans and materials; strong professional collaboration and adherence to college policies; commitment to diversity and inclusion; prior college teaching experience may be preferred.
