Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty - Anthropology teaching up to six semester credit hours per academic term, delivering lectures/seminars/laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students in Anthropology, developing course syllabi, selecting instructional materials, and designing assessments (exams, quizzes, papers). Responsible for assessing student performance, providing timely feedback, and evaluating learning outcomes to inform teaching practices and curriculum improvements. Engage students through active learning, foster critical thinking, and provide opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Provide academic support via office hours, feedback on assignments, and mentoring; adhere to university policies and accreditation requirements; incorporate innovative teaching methods, technologies, and pedagogical approaches to enhance learning and engagement. Additional duties include serving as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). These are temporary, per-semester appointments for Academic Year 2026-2027. Successful candidates may teach online or in-person and must be prepared to teach in various modalities as required by student demand. Required qualifications include a master's degree in Anthropology or related field with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline; preferred qualifications include a doctorate/terminal degree and prior online teaching experience. - Earned masters degree in Anthropology or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline
