Job Summary
Adjunct Clinical Faculty members assist in implementing and supervising the clinical component of a nursing program, providing guidance and evaluation of student performance in clinical settings. Responsibilities include promoting a positive learning environment, advising students, evaluating student achievement, coordinating clinical experiences, and participating in course evaluations. Candidates must hold a BSN, possess at least three years of nursing experience, and hold an active RN license in Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
- At least three years full-time experience in nursing as a registered nurse or part-time equivalent
- Active and unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the state of IN
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS) compliant with the American Heart Association
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise nursing students and provide direction at a clinical site
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in nursing education
- Knowledge of nursing theories, standards, and practice
- Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act
