Job Summary
Adjunct Clinical Faculty assists course faculty in implementing the clinical component of a nursing program; supervises student practice by providing guidance and support in clinical settings, evaluates student performance, and provides feedback to course faculty. Responsibilities include promoting a positive learning environment in classroom, on-campus labs and clinical sites; advising nursing students on course, program, and career issues; evaluating student achievement and progress; referring students to nursing lab for skill development; collaborating with course faculty to implement clinical components; assigning observational experiences; completing clinical evaluation tools and grading; reporting findings to students and faculty; participating in course meetings; providing evaluative data related to clinical sites; orienting students to clinical sites and policies; establishing clinical objectives; planning student clinical experiences; ensuring clarity of assignments; supervising student experiences per applicable nursing rules; acting as an ambassador of the College; contributing to program improvement studies. Position requires BSN, at least two years full-time nursing practice as an RN or part-time equivalent, active Michigan RN license, and BLS/ACLS. Credentialing requirements (transcripts, CPR card, immunizations) will be completed prior to start. Remote options: on-site.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- Active Michigan RN license that has never been encumbered
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification per AHA
