Job Summary
Assemble shipping crates from pre-built panels, pack and secure simulators with blocking, bracing, and strapping, and prepare skids for desktop products. Build and disassemble metal display frames, installing mounting hardware on TVs while keeping components sorted for reassembly. Move finished crates and skids to the shipping area using a pallet jack and forklift once certified. Maintain stocked packaging materials and a clean crating area, reporting any damaged supplies or shortages to the Production Supervisor. No prior experience is required; training covers crate construction standards, packing procedures, and forklift certification. This role supports the production of high-value simulators that require careful handling during transit.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable using hand and power tools (drill/driver, impact driver, screw gun, staple gun)
- Able to follow written and verbal work instructions and read simple assembly drawings
- Careful and methodical — our simulators are expensive and travel a long way
- Reliable, punctual, and a good teammate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift and handle equipment and materials up to 50 lb (23 kg) as part of regular duties
- Standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching for most of the shift
- Safety footwear required; other PPE provided
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a shop, warehouse, packaging, or crating environment
- Valid forklift permit is an asset — we certify in-house if you don't have one
- Experience assembling bolted metal structures
