Job Summary
ADF Rehabilitation Consultant supports Australian Defence Force personnel with physical and/or psychological injuries through a holistic, multidisciplinary approach. Responsibilities include performing functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments, developing and monitoring rehabilitation plans, coordinating with employees, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals, and guiding clients from rehab to functional recovery. The role is based at Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne (with potential at HMAS Stirling), involves five-day fortnights with options for full-time engagement, and emphasizes mentorship and on-boarding to build clinical expertise within a global services group.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted registration or membership with relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA as an EP, ASORC or AASW)
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
- Australian Citizenship
- Minimum of one year clinical work experience
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams
- Passion to help people rehabilitate
- Occupational rehabilitation experience
