Job Summary
ADF Rehabilitation Consultant role providing clinical reasoning to support Australian Defence Force personnel with physical and/or psychological injuries. Perform functional capacity evaluations and ergonomic/activities of daily living assessments within a multidisciplinary team. Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans to achieve real outcomes. Role base at HMAS Stirling (Garden Island) or Campbell Barracks (Swanbourne) in Western Australia; full-time options may be considered. Supported and mentored through onboarding and shadowing to build technical knowledge. Requires current registration with AHPRA/ESSA/ASORC/AASW, tertiary qualifications in OT/Physiotherapy/Exercise Physiology/Psychology/Rehabilitation Counselling/Nursing/Osteopathy/Social Work, Australian Citizenship, and minimum one year clinical experience. Ready to join and able to engage across multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals. Inclusion and equality are emphasized within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA as an EP, ASORC or AASW)
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
- Australian Citizenship
- Minimum of one year clinical work experience, registered in your chosen profession
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
- Passion to help people rehabilitate
- Occupational rehabilitation experience
