Job Summary
Adel Elementary seeks a 1:1 associate to support a teacher in a preschool- through 1st-grade setting. Responsibilities include working with individual students or small groups to help achieve learning goals, reading aloud and listening to students read, guiding student behavior and effort, assisting in devising reinforcement strategies tailored to individual needs, informing the teacher of any issues, and supervising students during arrival, recess, dismissal, and lunch. The successful candidate will be student-focused, team-oriented, ethical, confidential, and organized with strong time-management skills, and enjoy working with kids and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students
