Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and maintain robotic additive manufacturing production cells for Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards. Perform system setup and teardown, including base plate mounting, welding wire changes, calibrations, and consumable replacements like drive rolls and nozzles. Recognize and correct welding process variations by grinding and re-running weld paths, then clear system faults promptly. Accurately document production activities and equipment performance to maintain traceability. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment safely, utilizing shop tools such as grinders and plasma cutters. Report equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns to supervision and assist in training less experienced operators.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Team oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, requiring minimal supervision
- Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to maintain production records
- Able to drive a forklift truck, operate cranes, and use rigging equipment
- Some knowledge and experience in the GMAW Welding process
- Must be able to obtain Semi-Automatic GMAW welding certification within 6 months
- Must be able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 20 feet
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Overtime, holidays, weekends, and on-call support may occasionally be required to meet production demands
- Schedules may transition to a rotating 12-hour shift model that includes weekends and holidays

- Prior experience in welding, fabrication, additive manufacturing, or metalworking environments
