Additive Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary
Set up additive manufacturing print jobs, verify machine settings against best practices, and oversee the print process while recovering build pauses as needed. Safely handle metal powder through sieving, loading, de-powdering, measuring, and storage, then operate post-processing equipment like drills, grinders, and CNC machines. Maintain a clean workspace, perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and independently document all build, test, and maintenance activities. Develop process efficiency improvement projects and support rapid iteration and development testing through cross-functional collaboration. Work the second shift from 2pm to 10:30pm in our Long Beach facility, with flexibility for overtime or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of manufacturing, or similar industry, experience
- Comfortable working with hand tools, basic measurement equipment, and following detailed procedures exactly and safely
- Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Must either be a 'U.S. person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in additive manufacturing or similar environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, controlled documentation and processes such as: assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts list
- Experience working in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
- Experience driving engagement with others, taking initiative, and helping push the team to new levels
- Experience with metal powders
