Job Summary
Additive Manufacturing Technician role responsible for machine set-up, operation, maintenance, and post-processing of DMLS parts. Follow established procedures and work instructions; interpret assembly/manufacturing drawings; measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators; collaborate with Engineering on CAD models and post-process requirements; ensure quality and documentation; flexible with shifts (first/second), weekends, and hours; ITAR-compliant for U.S. person status. Strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on shop experience with tools, and proactive ownership of production quality are essential; on-site at Redmond, OR with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, life, 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule
- Ability to follow written, verbal or electronic instructions
- Ability to move, position, lift, and stack parts up to 50 pounds daily
- Ability to safely use ladder rated under 300 lbs
- Ability to wear PPE (gloves, hearing protection, eye protection, protective footwear, respirators)
- Ability to use and understand general test/measurement equipment (calipers, height gauges, tape measures)
- Ability to communicate with customers, teammates, and management with daily updates, hazard concerns, questions, and issues
- Ability to learn technical material relating to additive manufacturing and machine maintenance
- ITAR compliance requiring U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
- Working knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Background in additive manufacturing, metal fabrication and/or manufacturing a plus
- Demonstrated mechanical, analytical aptitude
