Job Summary
Provide quality education and care to all children while contributing to planning educational programs that support a child's learning to meet their goals. Build strong relationships with children, families, and the community in a homely, warm environment that emphasizes nature-based play outside and empowering children to use their voice and respect others. Create happy, healthy relationships and magical moments for children to experiment and grow. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week across Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Tuesday at 4 hours. The employer, Big Fat Smile, is a not-for-profit with 40+ community preschools and long day care centres dedicated to giving every child the best start in life.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III Educator
- A cleared valid for paid work, NSW working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- A cleared National Criminal Record Check
- Demonstrated commitment to protecting all children from abuse, harm and neglect
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families
- Evidence of completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
- Details of a minimum two referees, where one must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace
