Job Summary
As a Fun Club Educator, you’ll play a critical role in shaping young minds. You’ll provide quality education and care to all children, contribute to planning educational programs that support a child’s learning goals, and build strong relationships with children, families, and the community. You will work Monday to Friday, 5.5 hours per day, during school terms, in a maximum-term, part-time capacity. The role emphasizes safeguarding, a zero-tolerance approach to harm, and adherence to child-safety standards, including NSW WWCC, National Criminal Record Check, cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course. You’ll participate in pre-employment checks and gather references (minimum two referees, with at least one supervisor/manager). A resume and a brief cover letter outlining fit are requested. The organization promotes reconciliation and encourages Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to apply, operating across multiple early education centres and programs in Australia.
Required Qualifications
- A cleared valid for paid work, NSW working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- A cleared National Criminal Record Check
- Demonstrated commitment to protecting all children from abuse, harm and neglect.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
- Evidence of completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
- Details of a minimum two referees, where one must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace.
