Job Summary
Part-time PRN Mental Health Technician in an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Kentucky. Provide direct and indirect patient care, monitor patients’ behavior and vital signs, and notify RN of changes. Support safety through de-escalation, perform 15-minute observation rounds, assist with ADLs, and facilitate small groups as part of the treatment team. Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff, orient new staff, and help ensure a safe, therapeutic environment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work under stress in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR and de-escalation technique certification to be obtained
- Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- Previous healthcare experience
- One year of mental health technician experience (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
