Job Summary
Addiction Psychiatrist needed at VA Boston Healthcare System (Brockton and Jamaica Plain campuses) to provide a mix of direct clinical care in outpatient and residential/transitional settings, teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students, and potential administrative roles such as site directorship of addiction training. Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School and/or Boston University School of Medicine possible; opportunities for research and collaboration within a nationally recognized Veterans’ health system. Positions include a highly competitive VA salary with a sign-on/relocation incentive and education debt reduction benefits. Must be Board Eligible in General Psychiatry and/or Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine; US citizenship required; drug testing as part of employment. Responsibilities include direct clinical care, teaching, supervision of trainees, and possible leadership roles within the department.
