Addiction Medicine Physician or Nurse Practitioner (Hybrid Schedule)

Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment for individuals with complex addiction and substance use disorders, including prescribing buprenorphine. Complete full documentation to support professional billing and interpret test results to diagnose health issues. Educate patients regarding illness prognosis, medication compliance, and develop comprehensive care plans through interdisciplinary collaboration. Manage patient follow-up visits, adjust treatment plans as needed, and consult with primary care providers on abnormal lab results. Maintain required licensure, DEA authority, and CME credits while working three on-site days and two remote days in Somerset and Monticello, KY.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted medical license as a physician or nurse practitioner within the applicable state
- Experience providing addiction medicine services for both medically and socially complex populations
- Experience managing complex substance use disorders
- Ability to develop relationships with network and community physicians and other providers
- Current, active DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in state(s) where applicable
- Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams in a variety of settings
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Computer literate and experience with Electronic Medical Records
