ADDED DUTY CONTRACT: Native Youth Olympics (NYO)

Contract role for the Native Youth Olympics (NYO) program. Reports to Building Principal and serves as liaison between coaches and administration. Responsibilities include communicating with participants, parents, and administrators; upholding a high code of conduct; following safety procedures; understanding and adhering to NSBSD policies and activity guidelines; overseeing annual reviews of Coaches’ and Parent/Student Handbooks; completing mandatory trainings on or before contract day; coordinating with Principal on performance times, attendance rosters, and JOM grant criteria; managing NYO registration and travel logistics (including post-attendance surveys and travel paperwork); supervising travel for trips to ANC and advising on procedures for Barrow or Point Hope participants. Compensation is added duty-based and negotiable. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass a background check; Alaska driver’s license is preferred.
