ADDED DUTY CONTRACT: Building Advisory Group (4)

Building Advisory Group (BAG) adds a duty contract role supporting school culture, building operations, and leadership across classified and certified staff. Responsibilities include attending biweekly BAG meetings outside instructional hours, actively participating in discussions on school climate, operations, and instructional initiatives, acting as a liaison for staff input, organizing a rotating BAG roster to ensure representation at SAC meetings, modeling collaboration and professionalism, and completing required documentation (meeting notes, agendas, activity reports) in compliance with NSBSD policies. Selection emphasizes representation across staff categories (classified, paraprofessional/aid, tenured and non-tenured teachers) with a structured voting and assignment process. This role requires a high school graduate, ability to pass a background check, and preference for an Alaska Driver’s license. Final BAG implementation occurs alongside regular duties, with timely communication to Central Office and site administration.
