Job Summary
Conduct accurate assessments for newly admitted patients, including fall risk and SBQR evaluations, while managing safe detox protocols using COWS & CIWAS. Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans, document all actions in the EMR, and respond to medical and psychiatric needs through appropriate nursing interventions. Provide clinical direction to staff, evaluate care quality, mentor new hires, and ensure compliance with infection control, medication safety, and Joint Commission standards. Resolve patient conflicts using de-escalation techniques and maintain strict confidentiality. Respond to all Code Calls and communicate shift handovers effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN License in in State of operations
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
- Ability to read and interpret written information
- Ability to write clearly and informatively
- Ability to edit work for spelling and grammar
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively
- Ability to listen and get clarification
- Ability to respond well to questions
- Ability to demonstrate group presentation skills
- Ability to participate in meetings
- Working knowledge of EMR
