Job Summary
Manage end-to-end mechanical engineering development for ADAS sensors and ECUs, covering requirements, design, prototyping, validation, and production. Own structural, thermal, and enclosure design deliverables while driving technical decision-making across the product lifecycle. Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve complex engineering challenges and interface with suppliers and customers on technical matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing to ensure system-level integration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo)
- Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals (structures, materials, thermodynamics, molding, stamping, plating, diecasting, machining etc)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Business-level English and Native-level Japanese communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in industries such as automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, or medical devices
- Hands-on experience with CAE tools (FEA, CFD, etc.)
- Knowledge of design methodologies (FMEA, DRBFM, FTA etc)
- Experience working in global or cross-cultural team
